OCCRA

The Killer Bees OCCRA team begins each season going to the OCCRA kickoff much like any team would, getting the rules and getting familiar with the game. Once the students are familiar with the rules, they are off to the races, discussing what strategy would be best for winning the competition, what to focus on, and what may be less important. This is a very similar process to what the Killer Bees do during the FRC build season, the only difference being that OCCRA is entirely student led. This is one of the best ways for students to learn from their peers and learn how to lead, which not only helps them hone their engineering skills, but it helps the team run much smoother. We think it is important to allow students the opportunity to lead in both OCCRA and FRC to get them ready for a work environment and also build their leadership skills and cooperation with teammates.
